After premiering in Feb. 2015, “The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst” has been an odd pop culture phenomenon. What was originally a docuseries about the investigation of missing persons with interviews with New York real estate heir Robert Durst, quickly turned into a grisly confession of murder.
Now, “The Jinx” is back — nine years later — with a six-episode sequel to the original Emmy-winning miniseries.
If you want to catch up on the first season and watch its current season, “The Jinx: Part Two” is streaming now on Max. The new season premieres on HBO and Max simultaneously on Sunday, April 21 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, and new episodes drop every Sunday until its series finale on May 26.
While Max doesn’t offer a free trial, the streaming service starts as low as $9.99/month for the ad-supported plan. To go ad-free, prices jump up to $15.99/month or $19.99/month for ad-free programming in 4K Ultra HD.
From director Andrew Jarecki, “The Jinx: Part Two” follows the aftermath of season one, which aired nine years ago in 2015. Season two is a six-episode docuseries that features a look into Robert Durst’s life in prison, with new interviews, re-enactments and new people who had now come forward with information about Durst himself.
The Jinx season two is available exclusively for Max subscribers, starting at $9.99 per month for the ad-supported plan. The ad-free tier is $15.99 per month, and the Ultimate Ad-Free package is $19.99 monthly.

If you didn't know it was based on a true story, you'd probably think it was just a story about a troubled creep with a bad haircut. But now, after the Durst story has been thoroughly rehashed both in court and on HBO, “All Good Things” seems downright bizarre.
Durst pleaded not guilty to killing Berman, but after a dramatic trial, he was sentenced to life in prison for her murder in 2021. The same year, he was indicted in the murder of Kathie Durst in 1982.
